Christopher Robbie’s performance of Caleb’s Friend fills the Village Hall

Ticket sales got off to a slow start, but Christopher played on Friday night (8th March) to a full house (plus!) with everyone totally involved in his story of the life of his friend “Jees”.

This was Christopher’s third visit to the village. It is quite extraordinary how he can “become” such a variety of characters – an old gardener, Darwin and Caleb, apprentice to Joseph, and carry a whole audience with him throughout his one man performance.

He came all the way from Kent with a full set and a faithful wife to stage manage him, so a huge thank you to them both, to Sally Jones for box office and ‘front of house’ and to Marian and Alan for the bar.  Laura Lodge.
