Harvest Festival – thanks to everyone who helped

From Dave Wyper:

Our new Rector, Ann Keating, was given a very warm welcome to St James Church on Sunday 22nd September when she came to celebrate the harvest festival with us.

South Wraxall Harvest FestivalThe Church had been seasonally decorated by our talented team of flower ladies and the voices of the village choir yet again helped to swell the sound of music giving thanks for bringing the harvest home. Talking of which, thank you all very much for the wonderful produce and collection that you donated to the Alabaré Drop-in Centre in Trowbridge. I made the delivery to them on Tuesday 24th and they were so very grateful for your generous contributions.

After the service we all gathered in the village hall for another fantastic bring & share lunch. It never ceases to amaze me that such a variety of wonderful food just seems to appear and is then appreciatively consumed.

Again, many thanks to everyone who helped make this another successful village occasion, a fitting end to a village weekend.
