From Helen Bailey:
‘Thanks to those that came out on such a gloomy and chilly Sunday morning to help clear the public footpath that runs between the Upper and Lower Village. It was heartwarming to see such community spirit, which was rewarded by Margaret Gill bringing freshly baked walnut cakes, hot tea and coffee!
Gilly went online and found maps of the village dating back to 1773, which clearly show the footpath. In 2014 it is as important now as it was then and is a crucial connection between the Upper and Lower Village. The path is looking fabulous and those that have used it already have expressed their gratitude.’
