Village Carol Service and Party this Sunday

From Georgina Parker:

The Village Carol Service and Party is this Sunday. The festivities start with singing around the village Christmas Tree at 6pm. Remember to bring a torch and we are hoping for good weather! After a few rousing carols led by David Mitchell and the village choir everyone will move into the church for the carol service led by Revd Ann Keating. If it is wet we will simply meet in church instead at 6pm. The service will be informal with music, readings, dancing and enthusiastic carol singing by the choir and congregation. All villagers along with friends and family are welcome. There will be a retiring collection in aid of St James’s Church and the charity “Crisis at Christmas”. The service will end with a few songs performed by The Stanton and Atkins families’ band and then the party begins in the Village Hall.
