Sunday breakfast and new service times

From Georgina Parker on behalf of St James’s PCC:

On 1st February we begin a new pattern of Sunday services. It is based on our being members of a United Benefice in which a variety of services are offered across the four churches. Revd Ann Keating, our rector, is the only full-time stipendiary clergy person in the Ministry Team and she is assisted by Voluntary priests and Licensed Lay Ministers. Their aim is to satisfy a wide range of preferences for different forms of worship and this only becomes possible if they think and plan on a Benefice basis.

Sunday services in South Wraxall will start at 10:00 a.m. from 1st February. On the second Sunday of the month the service will alternate between South Wraxall and Monkton Farleigh. This may seem complicated but details of all services are displayed in the church porch and will be on the village website. On 8th February the service will be in Monkton Farleigh at 10:00 a.m.

Meanwhile in South Wraxall the Parochial Church Council has decided to offer a different sort of service by serving a full English breakfast in the village hall from 9:00 a.m. We will, where possible, use local produce and the proceeds will go towards the upkeep and running costs of St James’s. We look forward to welcoming all the community to enjoy tasty fare and good company! We will carry on serving until at least 11.30 so you can enjoy a lie in and a cooked breakfast! Bring your family and friends!
