Tray bakes and tombolas…the Great British Fete!

From Annie Moss:

image3It’s coming up to that time of year again when our social calendar fills up with famous annual events such as Glastonbury, Glyndebourne and Goodwood and this year there’s another one to add to the list.

image1The Monkton Farleigh Village Fete is undoubtedly one of the best and most popular village fetes in the area, attracting many local people and visitors from further afield. Held within the stunning grounds of Monkton Farleigh Manor, this year’s fete will take place on Saturday 13th June and there will be some exciting new attractions for 2015, such as ‘Classic Cars’ and ‘Air Rifle Target Shooting’ in addition of course to all the usual fantastic stalls and traditional games.

image2Delicious cream teas served on the terrace together with our (by now) famous Pimms stall, ensure that everyone at the fete is kept refreshed and with plenty of child friendly attractions to occupy the younger visitor, it makes for a very chilled afternoon out!
