Chancellor George Osborne visits South Wraxall

From Mark Caroe (Chairman of the Parish Council and Village Hall Committee):

Chancellor George Osborne, Liz Truss, Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, and our MP, Michelle Donelan, visited the filming of SKY TV drama Agatha Raisin in the village yesterday. The group were here to promote new tax breaks for the film industry. They all loved the village and were very impressed by the Village Hall, albeit in its film set guise. The Chancellor’s interview has been screened on the BBC One News.
