Catastrophe curtailed: cat no longer missing from Lower Village!

From Ruth Warren:

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch following the disappearance of our dark grey cat, Pushkin.  He was found on Friday morning, I would love to say safe and well but I think it’s fair to say he has used up many of his nine lives on this adventure!  It seems likely Pushkin was locked in a garage or shed for a week (possibly while the owners were on their Easter break?) and was hit by a car yesterday on his way home to us.  He is now in cat hospital where he will have surgery on Monday, it is expected that he will make a full recovery and be back to mousing in Josie’s garden before too long.  The vet reported that it is the only time they have ever seen a cat with a shattered pelvis who was purring so loudly that they couldn’t check his vital functions!

A very special thank you to David, our eagle eyed postie who came back to alert neighbours to Pushkin’s distress and to Sarah Ford who whipped out with her cat carrier to bring Pushkin home to us.  We are very lucky to have such wonderful neighbours.

If anyone has recently opened a shed, garage or front door to see a grey streak exiting the building we would love to hear from you to see if we can work out where he was

Many thanks,
