Village Breakfast

Last Sunday we again welcomed villagers and friends to breakfast in the village hall. Our customers lingered for much of the morning to chat with friends and acquaintances. Once again we are indebted to local suppliers for much of the produce. We were able to offer Adam Tucker’s sausages, Rob’s black pudding from ‘The Longs Arms’, eggs from Home Farm and Marian’s marmalade.

An additional fundraiser was the contribution from ‘Arvensis Perennials’, South Wraxall. Rob and Gussie Macdougall brought along a large selection of their plants, and even set them up for us on a table outside with a notice and a collection box.

All these efforts, accompanied by generous donations from our guests, resulted in a profit of almost £600 for St James’s Church funds. Many, many thanks to all who contributed, including the hard-working staff in the hall.
