Volunteer Open Day with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

From Nigel Gill:

My name is Matt Callaway and I am an Estates Officer for the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. We are holding an Open day at Langford Lakes Nature Reserve on Wednesday 2nd May to boost volunteer numbers across all of our reserves. We have several in the Bradford-on-Avon and Trowbridge area including Green Lane Wood and Biss Wood and our newest reserve Widbrook Wood; we have some fantastic volunteers but numbers have dwindled for various reasons. We carry out lots of different practical works from woodland management to path maintenance, pond management to scrub clearance and it would be amazing if at all possible if you maybe be able to help. I have attached a poster here.

Widbrook Wood has a new volunteer group being set up and it would be amazing to help join the people of Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge at this amazing woodland just off the Kennet and Avon Canal. I will be at the Hub in Bradford on Avon on Friday 20th at the Age UK volunteer event. We have a stand so please, if you are free, feel free to come have a chat. We’d love to build the group up as a community group within the towns.
